one year later...

Upon seeing the date couple of entries back, September 18 2006. That's exactly 1 year ago. Last year's was on Monday and this year's on Tuesday. Seems like just yesterday? For my blog...maybe...but for me...nay.

I remember how fired up I was together with the youths after the retreat. We heard the calling, we were blown away by it, we take it in, we talked about it, we planned about it, we prayed about it, we caught fire! We tried to light up the torch around the assembly but...we...just...sort of burnt out before succeeding in doing so. Where have we gone wrong?

We didn't stand together. The wind of hesitation toyed around with us. We wanted to move forward but each of us held back a little, fearing that the rest wouldn't follow up. Fearing we'll be a laughing stock to the people. Fearing of losing our comfort-zone. It wasn't too hard for the opposing force to blow off our fire. Soon everyone just stared at the phone, occasionally someone picks it up but that's just it, no one talks about it anymore but some did still have the ember to continue to pray for a re-revival.

The second Sungai Ara Retreat is upon us...just how are we going to respond to it?
